Physical Therapist
Position Summary: Responsible for evaluation and continued treatment planning and implementation of patient care as pertains to physical therapy. Fosters a positive working relationship among ancillary staff. Scope of patient load includes infants through senior patient and must possess the knowledge and skills to give quality care for the physical and developmental needs of these populations.
Essential Functions:
* Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, consulting with other specialists as needed.
* Reassesses patient’s functional needs and adjusts care plan to ensure optimal patient outcome.
* Designs and implements a plan of care for the patient and significant others based on a thorough assessment.
* Conducts therapy practices within defined standards of care.
* Directs the practice of support staff in order to achieve the patient’s functional goals.
* Documents evaluations, treatment goals and plans. Regularly updates documentation and maintains all required prescriptions and signatures.
* Actively participates in facility meetings and in-services.
* Maintains CPU’s within the standards of the MT Board of Licensing.
* Acts as a resource to promote Physical Therapy within the community.
Qualifications:
1. High School Education or higher.
2. Must have current MT license for Phys. Therapy
3. Graduate of an accredited APA program
4. Must have current CPR
5. Requires repetitive, bending, pulling, pushing, kneeling, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
6. Must be able to read and write English fluently.
7. Must be able to clearly and accurately communicate with nursing, physicians, administration and public.
8. Visual acuity within normal limits. Must be able to read charts, orders, notes, and office reports.
